Creating Engaging Learning Environments In Lodi, NJ PDIH2017346

Presenter: Jay Dugan, Ed.D

There is a cure for student boredom! Teachers who want their students engaged need lessons that:
• Are student centered
• Use innovative technology
• Allow for choice
• Incorporate multiple intelligences
• Stimulate curiosity
Most importantly, students need to be active, not passive, with their learning. Participants will be given an abundance of resources and lesson ideas to take back to their classrooms and apply immediately.

About the Presenter: Dr. Jay Dugan served the New Jersey Public Schools for 29 years. During that time period, he was a teacher, supervisor of curriculum, principal, and superintendent. He left the public school system in 2004 to assume the role of Director of Professional and Curriculum Development for EIRC. Dr. Dugan is also an adjunct professor for Rowan University. He presents keynote addresses and trainings throughout the state. Dr. Dugan has published articles in print and online publications, manages 10 educational blogs, and was inducted into the NJ Council of Education in 2015.
