Presenter: Mike Devono
This workshop will tackle the rigor of the PARCC's PCR sections using unique skill teaching techniques, close reading and modeled writing strategies, and the application of Common Core language arts skills used in PARCCs' essays. You will simply learn how to teach your students how to write using heavy informational text and control the rubric at the same time. Written expression and standard English will be covered extensively. Join us and learn how to break up these essays into small doable paragraphs, use an unequaled conferencing format that fosters student confidence, and teaching strategies that are ready for next day use. Classroom demonstration lessons are also available for this workshop. After all, seeing it in action, is the real test.
