Logical thinking, problem solving, persistence, collaboration, communication, growth mindset... Are those buzzwords of importance in your classroom? This workshop is design to help teachers become comfortable implementing the basics of computer programming. As an educator, time is a commodity. This workshop will emphasize how to integrate coding into core content areas, teaching or reinforcing concepts students are already learning.

About the Presenter: Amanda Owens is a technology and gifted and talented teacher in a K-8 school district. Ms. Owens earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Kean University with an additional certificate in Middle School Science. Ms. Owens is passionate about technology integration in the classroom and provides workshops and assistance on innovative implementation strategies for other teachers.

EIRC Workshop Cancellation and Refund Policy

 Workshop cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to registrar@eirc.org or pwill@eirc.org at least 2 business days before the start of the workshop to receive a 100% refund. If the workshop is cancelled by EIRC due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, EIRC will reschedule the event if possible and issue a workshop credit to all registered participants. NO REFUNDS will be issued on or after the start date of the workshop.
