Spice...I will be sharing with other colleagues at my school. I love the spice!  Getting the student excited and to understand the importance of flavor. The skills Mike listed helped me focus on important skills on so many levels. Even though the skills were mainly for older ones, there is so much I can use with my kindergarten.

Joy Patterson-Gross demonstrates hands-on learning experiences that target writing objectives for all students, including those with disabilities.

• The Y organizer is an excellent choice for picture prompt writing.
• Teaching "tricks" for teaching points-very useful!
• Love the Big Alphaboxes!
• I loved the idea of having students include skills being focused on, as well as skills previously learned, into their planning web, in addition to their ideas, to help plan and develop their writing.
