NJ After 3New Jersey After 3 is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to expanding after school opportunities for New Jersey's kids, EIRC provides high quality, comprehensive, structured, supervised and enriching after-school activities in 5 southern New Jersey schools.

Each program provides the following: core curriculum, diversified professional staff, free snack, community service projects, junior Achievement (at 3 sites), cultural enrichment, performing arts, video & photography, non-competitive sports, homework help and tutoring.

Partner Schools and Program Highlights

Cold Springs School - Gloucester City, NJ – In 2007 Cold Springs Coordinator, Meghan O'Connor won an NJA3 Promising Practices award for the Student Walking Club. Two days a week, children walked together around the school building with pedometers clocking the distance it would take them to get to Storybook Land amusement park, located 55 miles away, followed up with a bus ride to the amusement park with a day of fun and rides. Meghan was again awarded an NJA3 Promising Practices award for the Staying Young Kid’s Camp developed by Assistant Coordinator, Kevin Young.

Lindenwold Middle School - Lindenwold, NJ  - Ellen Kamen,  Program Coordinator, provided her students with opportunities for a cooking club, chess tournament and step dance club and girls club. In addition, one of her students was a state champion in the NJA3 Spelling Bee, and staff member Kim Liano received the Youth Development award for 2006-2007.

Lindenwold School #4 - Lindenwold, NJ  -  See Jeff Lake, P.E.A.C.E. Program Coordinator by clicking the film icon at the top of the page.  Through a mini-grant provided by NJSACC, students created the concept and lyrics and performed in a production entitled NJA3 Fly. The film was featured on Spotlight with Della Cruz in June 2007.

Herma S. Simmons School - Clayton, NJ - Exciting things are happening at Clayton! Jessica Koch will be taking children though an innovative school design where children create a "mini-society" inside the schoolhouse, teaching them real world business and leadership skills that will carry over for life.

R. T. Cream Family School - Camden, NJ - Our newest afterschool program is headed by Correin Green and will be providing Praise and Modern/Hip Hop dance, the Hundred Email Challenge, Math Frenzy, News Broadcasting, Business Club, Karate and Self Defense, a Mock Trial Team and Musical Arts including musical performances.
