Class Set Up
Agenda:
Planning agendas for facilitators are a part of the EIRC/NBPTS Support Class Curriculum®. Agendas are sent to lead facilitators a week before class is scheduled. If you need/would like more information on Facilitator planning agendas, contact MaryAnn Joseph at mjoseph@eirc.org.
Information Session:
Feel free to use this powerpoint as a way to explain the five core propositions. Use it with page 73, Accomplished Teaching the Key to National Board Certification, rev second edition as an exercise with candidates. Edit as you wish.
Note: I did use clips from Mr. Holland’s Opus, Kindergarten Cop and the Ron Clark Story as examples of the five core propositions. You may choose to include or not include these clips in your presentation. Since they are copyrighted material, you would need to have the films in order to show them as a part of the presentation.
Building a Case for Accomplished Teaching © This resource, from the book Accomplished Teaching the Key to National Board Certification, Revised Second Edition Jennings and Joseph will be available for facilitators to use in EIRC/NBPTS Support Class Two sessions for a limited time. If you reach this page and the resource is no longer available, contact mjoseph@eirc.org.
