Rogate

Resources Offered in Gifted And Talented Education (ROGATE)

Teaches students in grades 6-12 basic research and critical thinking skills, which apply to all subjects areas.

  • Students who participate in ROGATE have the opportunity to take the SAT
  • Rogate students are divided into two groups; Critical Issue Students or Talent Search Students
  • Student fees cover one or the other.  Students who participate as a Critical Issue Student and a Talent Search Student must pay an additional student fee.
  • Tips on Identifying Students
    • Standardized Achievement Tests are a convenient and useful source for identifying students.  A score of 95 or better percentile indicates academic potential to succeed.
    • Products and Performance can also be used to identify students.  (i.e. a piece of writing, extensive knowledge, debating ability, extensive organizational sills, etc.)
    • Motivation and Interest
